About Sri Brahma Murari
Sri Brahma Murari
Dr. N. Rajagopal is widely recognized as one of the direct disciples of the Immortal Himalayan Master, Mahavatar Babaji. A renowned and highly respected Vedic astrologer in India, he is known for offering guidance and solutions to a wide range of issues through spiritual counseling, astrological expertise, natural remedies, and the use of authentic gemstones.
He serves as a spiritual conduit for his revered Guru, Mahavatar Babaji, and provides personalized solutions using a sacred method known as “MindScope.” This unique spiritual technique is believed to be a direct transmission of divine wisdom from Mahavatar Babaji, guiding Dr. Rajagopal in his work.
Dr. Rajagopal comes from a devout Orthodox Iyer lineage tracing back to Moola Purusha Gopala Iyer, who founded the family’s roots in the village of Nemmeli near Mannargudi in the Tanjore District. He was born on January 1, 1955, in Mannargudi—a town situated roughly 100 kilometers from Babaji’s own birthplace and home to the revered Sri Rajagopala Swamy Temple.
His ancestors served as court astrologers to the Maharaja of Tanjore. It is believed that one of their accurate predictions—foretelling abundant rains during a period of drought and the birth of a royal male heir—pleased the king so much that he rewarded Gopala Iyer and his descendants with extensive lands and royal patronage, which they enjoyed for generations.
Dr. N. Rajagopal was born to Shri D. Nagarajan and Smt. N. Jayalakshmi into a once-prosperous Zamindari family with strong roots in Vedic traditions and astrology. His maternal grandfather, the late Sri Rama Iyer, was a noted engineer and industrialist in Kumbakonam, who owned and operated several businesses including rice mills, ice factories, cinemas, and a transportation fleet.
In 1960, the family relocated from their ancestral village of Nemmeli to Bangalore due to limited educational opportunities in the rural area. Following the move, conflicts with agricultural tenants and betrayals by close associates led Dr. Rajagopal’s father to give up his entire inheritance and walk away with nothing. This drastic turn of events plunged the family into financial hardship, making Dr. Rajagopal’s early life one of constant struggle and adversity.
As the only son among five daughters, he carried significant responsibility from a young age. To support himself and continue his education, he took on various part-time and odd jobs. Despite these challenges, he went on to earn multiple academic qualifications, including postgraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Medicine, several diplomas in management, and specialized certifications in diverse fields.
Throughout his career, Dr. Rajagopal held several middle and senior-level positions across private firms, multinational corporations, and large business houses. A published author in areas like taxation and general interest, he has also shared his expertise by teaching subjects such as Management, Human Resources, and Taxation at various platforms and institutions.
His father, the late Shri D. Nagarajan, was deeply devoted to the practice of Jyotisha (Vedic astrology) and was well-regarded within his extended family for his knowledge and insights. Remarkably, he had accurately predicted the date of his own passing. Even more astonishing, he left behind a handwritten note by his bedside detailing the specific samskaras (rituals) to be performed on each day following his death.
Two Decades of Babaji’s Subtle Presence
Healing Experiences and Divine Intervention
An unusual yet recurring pattern has emerged—many individuals seem to face serious health crises just before forming a connection with the Immortal Mahavatar Babaji. One such case is that of Dr. N. Rajagopal, who, at the age of 24, was hospitalized at Bangalore’s CSI Hospital from May 17 to June 28, 1979 (In-patient No. 2234, Out-patient No. 5128), suffering from a mysterious and severe illness.
He experienced repeated episodes of melaena and haematemesis, with fresh blood present in both vomit and stool—indicative of internal bleeding. This condition was likely triggered by the use of certain medications including Chloromycetin capsules, Paracetamol, and Avil, initially prescribed by a local doctor.
His health rapidly declined, with his haemoglobin dropping dangerously from 8.4 g/dL on May 18 to 5.2 g/dL by May 31. Due to this critical level and the unavailability of compatible blood, surgical intervention was ruled out. Despite receiving 17 units of blood and numerous IV fluids, his situation remained precarious, especially since “O” negative blood—his type—was in extremely short supply.
His condition had deteriorated to a critical stage, with doctors urging the family to notify all close relatives. Amid this grim situation, his respected father, Shri D. Nagarajan, placed unwavering trust in astrology. Relying on his own astrological calculations and interpretations of his son’s horoscope, he firmly believed that his son’s life was not in danger. In a surprising turn of events, recovery began, and he was eventually discharged on June 28, 1979, with medical advice to undergo elective surgery within the following two months.
Who Was This Mysterious Saadhu?
Out of fear of undergoing surgery, Dr. N. Rajagopal sought alternative treatment from the family’s trusted physician, Achary P. Dorai—a respected elder and expert in Siddha Vaidya, based in Bangalore. Remarkably, it was under his care that Dr. Rajagopal recovered without needing surgical intervention, a healing that has lasted to this day.
On Wednesday, July 11, 1979, while at the doctor’s clinic, an unexpected visitor arrived—a wandering saadhu who began instructing a remedy for a challenging water-borne illness that the doctor had been struggling to treat. Achary Dorai held such ascetics in high esteem, often saying he had learned some of his most effective medical insights from these spiritually inclined wanderers, who appeared unannounced but offered great wisdom.
When the saadhu departed, Dr. Rajagopal felt an inexplicable pull and instinctively followed him for a short distance, as if drawn by an invisible force. The saadhu, noticing this, turned and blessed him with a small agate stone. From that moment onward, significant inner transformations began taking place. His ability to offer remedies improved rapidly, and clients reported swift results.
At that stage, Dr. Rajagopal was not actively practicing astrology, though he had been casually involved in numerology since the age of 17. Due to his professional commitments, he could only attend to a few cases. Interestingly, even without formal astrological training, he often helped his father identify the afflicted planet in a person’s life just by examining their photo or thumbprint. His father would then cast the horoscope and validate his observations, usually finding them accurate.
To Dr. Rajagopal’s great astonishment, the same saadhu reappeared eleven years later—at the very same location. This time, the mystic instructed him to meet again, but at a cave in Mumbai. Without sharing details of the meeting, Dr. Rajagopal asked his father to assess any potential danger in his horoscope. After checking planetary transits, his father gave his blessings for the journey.
The meeting was set for April 28, 1991, at precisely 11:45 a.m. Dr. Rajagopal arrived at the designated spot, and the saadhu was there, waiting. Unlike the first encounter, this time the mystic offered no physical object. Instead, he placed his foot gently on Dr. Rajagopal’s head and blessed him. He spoke briefly, indicating that in the coming years, profound transformations would occur not just in Dr. Rajagopal’s life, but also in the lives of those who would come into contact with him.
The entire exchange lasted just 10 to 15 minutes, yet it left a deep, lasting impression. It was one more mysterious and unforgettable chapter in Dr. Rajagopal’s extraordinary spiritual journey.
The Saadhu’s Blessing and the Awakening of the Third Eye
Following the extraordinary encounter with the saadhu, Dr. N. Rajagopal experienced a profound shift—not only in his health but in his spiritual faculties. Since that day, he has remained free from any major illnesses and has never had to undergo surgery. The deeksha (spiritual initiation) he received marked a turning point in his life, awakening what can only be described as a higher sense—an inner vision akin to a Third Eye.
This spiritual empowerment enabled him to resume and successfully complete his academic pursuits, which had previously faced interruptions. The number of people seeking his guidance, remedies, and spiritual counseling steadily grew. Remarkably, despite not knowing Sanskrit, he began receiving intuitive insights and solutions for even the most complex problems faced by those who came to him.
Through focused meditation on a person’s photograph, Dr. Rajagopal found that answers to their concerns would emerge spontaneously. He also began visualizing and later reproducing yantras—mystical diagrams—some of which are described in Saundarya Lahari by Sri Adi Shankaracharya, while others came to him through divine revelations, often associated with tantric masters, saints, and spiritual seers.
He developed an extraordinary ability to intuitively select remedies tailored to each individual’s unique situation. Often, when his father was analyzing a horoscope, Dr. Rajagopal would casually glance at it and point out a particular planet or planetary influence—insights that would consistently prove accurate. His father, a learned astrologer himself, was amazed by this uncanny ability, especially since his son had never formally studied Jyotisha (Vedic astrology).
His father frequently expressed a deep desire for Dr. Rajagopal to pursue astrology seriously. He often said that one day his son would embrace Jyotisha and use it as a tool to bring transformation to countless lives.
Drawn Reluctantly, Yet Deeply, Into Astrology
Though initially hesitant to study astrology, Dr. N. Rajagopal eventually found himself unable to resist its pull. After the passing of his father, he began to encounter unusual and transformative experiences. On one such occasion, he felt as though his father had somehow “opened his mind” and filled it with profound knowledge. Soon after, he began engaging in deep conversations about astrology with his peers—something he had never done before.
Motivated by this inner awakening, he formally pursued his education in astrology and successfully completed the Jyotisha Praveena and Jyotisha Visharada certifications through the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), the premier institution for astrological education and research in India.
ICAS was founded by the legendary Dr. B. V. Raman, often hailed as the “Torchbearer of Modern Astrology.” A pioneering scholar, Dr. Raman authored over 20 authoritative texts on various aspects of astrology. His greatest achievement, perhaps, lies in reviving and legitimizing the science at a time when it was largely dismissed, and many ancient texts had been lost due to foreign invasions. His vision and tireless efforts laid the foundation for a new generation of serious, scientifically inclined astrologers.
Thanks to Dr. Raman’s foresight, ICAS has become a respected body producing thousands of qualified astrologers from diverse backgrounds. Many of its alumni have gone on to publish important works and contribute to the global recognition of Indian astrology.
Dr. N. Rajagopal considers it a rare privilege to have received his formal astrological training from such a prestigious and visionary institution. Over time, his expertise has been acknowledged through various awards and honors from institutions like the Astrological Research Project and other reputed organizations in the field.
The Spiritual Shift During India’s Colonial Era
As the 19th century drew to a close and the 20th century began, India stood on the brink of gaining independence. Meanwhile, the rest of the world was undergoing rapid material advancement. Breakthroughs in science, communication, and transportation reshaped human priorities, steering focus heavily toward physical comfort and progress.
Amid this transformation, traditional values experienced a disruption. The revered saints, sages, and spiritual masters—who once closely guided the masses—gradually withdrew from public life. Their wisdom became accessible only to a select few who managed to remain untouched by the sweeping influence of new lifestyles and modernity.
Though India suffered the loss of immense material wealth and cultural treasures between the 12th and 19th centuries, it never lost its spiritual essence. The country continued to shine as a source of inner wisdom and enlightenment for the world. Since the arrival of Western traders—who later became rulers—there has been a growing fascination in the West with India’s deep philosophical and metaphysical traditions.
Conclusion of Corporate Career and Transition to Spiritual Path
During this period, he began to see the unfolding of both his father’s long-held vision and the predictions made by the Saadhu. Feeling guided by a higher purpose and enriched by his life experiences, he made the bold decision to leave behind his lucrative corporate managerial roles. He chose instead to dedicate himself to helping others through the establishment of a specialized astrology consultation center, focusing on Corporate, Business, Medical, and Career astrology. Committed to this spiritual path, he has resolved never to return to formal employment.
He also developed a unique system called MindScope, through which he feels spiritually connected to Babaji, receiving insights and answers to the concerns of those who seek his help. Remarkably, he can identify the afflicted planets affecting an individual simply by examining their photograph—often even before reviewing their horoscope or knowing any personal details. With Babaji’s guidance, this approach has brought clarity and relief to many, allowing for accurate identification of planetary disturbances and the recommendation of effective remedies.
Living as a Beggar in Search of Babaji
About a month before stepping away from his professional career, Dr. N. Rajagopal felt compelled to seek a deeper, more transformative experience. Though he believed that receiving a vision or darshan of Babaji was far beyond his reach, he held the thought that such a blessing might only come after multiple, possibly unsuccessful, pilgrimages to the Himalayas.
Motivated by this spiritual longing and a desire to personally understand the often-misjudged life of beggars, he made a quiet, unannounced journey. He flew to Delhi and then continued by bus into the Himalayas. Leaving all his possessions secured in a lodge’s cloakroom, he spent two days and three nights on the streets—begging for food and sleeping outdoors, completely silent and detached from his former identity. Like other mendicants, he accepted whatever food was offered, without complaint or comment.
Upon returning to Bangalore through regular means, the experience left a deep impact on him. It awakened a profound realization about the simplicity of life and how we often complicate it with endless desires. His inner connection and reverence for Babaji only deepened from that point on.
Babaji Leaves the Gate Open
On a recent journey to Pondicherry, Dr. N. Rajagopal, accompanied by Dr. P. Jaymohan and a student named K. S. Aneesh, decided to visit Parangi Pettai (also known as Porto Nova), the birthplace of Babaji. Since the small temple built at Babaji’s birthplace is tucked away in a village and accessible only by narrow lanes, the trio hired an auto-rickshaw to reach the site.
Upon arrival, they found the temple gate unlocked and walked in without hesitation. They were able to peacefully have darshan of Babaji. Moments later, a couple of local women hurried over and asked, surprised, how they had managed to get inside. When one of the visitors explained that the gate had simply been open, the women expressed astonishment, noting that many people often come to visit but leave disappointed when they find the gate locked.
“How was it open at the exact time you arrived?” they wondered aloud. This unexpected access and perfectly timed visit left Dr. Rajagopal and his companions deeply moved, feeling it was no coincidence, but rather a quiet blessing—perhaps Babaji himself had kept the gate open for them.
The Missing Friend and the Unfolding Revelations
In 2005, a close friend of Dr. N. Rajagopal had traveled to Kerala to meet a legal representative and secure a financial release through court proceedings. It was anticipated that he would return to Bangalore within a couple of days. However, as days passed with no communication and his phone switched off, concern began to grow. His family in Pondicherry, especially his mother, became increasingly anxious and started calling Dr. Rajagopal, seeking answers. Dr. Rajagopal too began reaching out to various contacts in Kerala, but no one seemed to know where his friend had gone.
As the days dragged on, the friend’s brother took it upon himself to travel from Pondicherry to Kerala in search of him. Meanwhile, his mother, overwhelmed with worry and desperation, repeatedly reached out to Dr. Rajagopal, pleading for guidance or any spiritual insight into her son’s whereabouts. Emotionally burdened by the situation and deeply concerned for his close companion, Dr. Rajagopal found himself in a disturbed mental state, not ready for meditation or divine connection. However, moved by the mother’s distress, he eventually sat in meditation to seek answers through his MindScope method.
The outcome of the meditation wasn’t completely clear due to the emotional turbulence and overlapping thoughts, but it seemed to suggest that his friend was safe. As it later turned out, the friend had completed his legal work and, instead of returning immediately, had chosen to visit several revered temples in Kerala, drawn by their peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
Interestingly, during that meditation, as Dr. Rajagopal focused on his missing friend, unexpected revelations began to flow in—interruptions not from his own thoughts, but as if guided from a higher source. These subtle intrusions pointed to messages from Babaji. The experience left him deeply moved, his mind adrift in emotion and uncertainty. He struggled to separate the insights about his friend from the greater messages Babaji seemed to be offering. In hindsight, he interpreted this moment as a divine redirection—a sign that his spiritual mentor, the Great Mahavatar Babaji, was preparing him for greater responsibilities, nudging him away from temporary anxieties toward higher purposes.
Over time, Dr. Rajagopal came to recognize that he had been interacting with subtle spiritual forces. Though often too nuanced to understand immediately, their presence was undeniable. Questions began to surface in his mind: Was the Saadhu who once appeared to him actually Babaji in disguise? Why was he drawn so intensely to Siddha Vaidhya? The answers lay hidden in the deeper currents of cosmic order—where nothing is accidental and all unfolds with divine intention.
Eventually, during a later meditation, when Dr. Rajagopal earnestly asked Babaji about the identity of the mysterious Saadhu, he received a quiet but profound response. Babaji conveyed that he could appear in any form. With this, Dr. Rajagopal realized with certainty that the Saadhu he had once encountered was, in fact, Babaji himself.
Revelations from Babaji to Dr. N. Rajagopal
During one of his deep meditative states, Dr. N. Rajagopal entered into a spiritual communion with Mahavatar Babaji. As the connection deepened, certain thoughts surfaced—particularly regarding Babaji’s original name, Nagaraj, and its possible link to Dr. Rajagopal’s late father, Sri D. Nagarajan. A gentle, intuitive message seemed to flow: “Look at my photograph in Marshall Govindan’s book, then look at your father’s photo in the hall—you will notice a resemblance.”
Compelled by the message, Dr. Rajagopal immediately compared the two images. He observed that his father bore the sacred three horizontal lines of holy ash on his forehead, while Babaji’s photograph featured a shawl with three clearly defined lines. The symbolic connection was striking and deeply moving.
In a later meditation, influenced by a previous conversation with a close friend, another question arose in his mind: “Babaji, having left all worldly ties behind, what connection do you have with Mataji Annai Nagalakshmi? How did both of you come together at the Gauri Shankar Ashram in Badrinath?”
The answer flowed in silence: “I have witnessed countless events and lifetimes unfold across the ages—you have not. Ask yourself, what is the link between your father, Nagarajan, and Nagalakshmi?”
Driven by curiosity and a sense of divine prompting, Dr. Rajagopal searched through old family documents. He eventually uncovered a partition deed dated 27th February 1924, officially registered on 15th March 1924 at the Thiruvarur Sub-Registrar’s Office in Tamil Nadu. The document was between his father, then a minor of seven years, and his grandfather, Sri Doraiswami Iyer. What stood out most was that the deed was executed and registered by a woman named Smt. Nagalakshmi—his father’s paternal aunt.
As the details unfolded, a deeper story emerged. Nagalakshmi, having become a widow early in life, was the daughter of the man who adopted Doraiswami Iyer—making Doraiswami the legal heir to a significant family estate. Concerned about her adopted brother’s poor financial decisions and legal troubles, she took steps to protect the family’s assets by initiating the partition deed.
These revelations, shared by Babaji during meditation and later verified through historical records, left Dr. Rajagopal and his extended family both stunned and amazed. The intricate and seemingly long-lost links between spiritual and familial connections revealed a larger cosmic pattern—one that transcended generations and reaffirmed the hidden harmony between their earthly lives and divine design.
